Backdrop banners
A backdrop banner is the large printed background behind a speaker, a stage or a photo area. It is the surface that appears on camera at a press conference, stays in the pictures at an awards ceremony and greets visitors first at a trade-fair stand. A well-prepared backdrop carries your brand in every photo shared after the event.
Where is it used?
- Press conferences and launches: a branded background behind the speaker.
- Stages and award ceremonies: behind the stage and around the lectern.
- Trade-fair and congress stands: the back wall of the stand; see trade fair and congress exhibitors and trade fair, congress and event support.
- Corporate events, graduations and receptions: the background of the photo area.
Material and production
- The backdrop is printed on banner material with eyelets along the edges; it is tied through the eyelets with rope or fasteners to a frame, a wall or a stage structure.
- The size is entirely up to you.
- Printing is done on the 3.20 m wide eco-solvent printer in our workshop. For backdrops wider than this, we plan the production together when you order.
- We agree the eyelet spacing and fixing method together, according to where the backdrop will hang.
- If you need a supporting frame and installation, we offer a solution with the support of our partners.
Design tips
- Logo pattern: on press and award backdrops, logos usually repeat in rows at equal intervals, so the logo stays visible however the photo is cropped.
- Think about the height of the speaker or the people standing in front; place the main message above head height.
- The lower part of the backdrop is often hidden behind a lectern, table or crowd; do not put important information there.
- Choose a calm background colour so the photos are not busy.
- As the print is large, send vector files of your logos (PDF, AI, EPS).
