Why do AI images cause problems in print?
Not enough resolution
Tools generate images for screens. Usually fine for business cards; on posters and banners the pixels show.
Colours shift
Screens make colour with light (RGB), print with ink (CMYK). Neon greens and electric blues look duller in print.
Wrong proportions
A square image squeezed onto an 8 × 5 cm card or an A5 flyer gets cropped or stretched.
No bleed
The background stops exactly at the edge; a fraction of a millimetre of cutting shift shows as a white line or a cut-off word.
Broken text
AI often misspells Turkish characters (ş, ğ, ı, İ), phone numbers and addresses.
It becomes a “mockup”
Ask for a business card and you may get a photo of a card on a desk (a perspective mockup); printing needs flat, front-facing artwork.
Step by step: from AI to print
- Choose the product and size
Decide what you will print and in which size first. The aspect ratio and pixel size follow from that. Sizes are on the product page and in the table below.
- Build the product-specific prompt
Open your product in the archive below and fill in brand, style and colours. Bleed, safe area, ratio and “flat artwork, not a mockup” are added to the prompt automatically.
- Generate the image without text
Ask the AI for the background and visual elements only; do not let it write names, phone numbers or addresses. Add the text yourself in Canva, Illustrator or Photoshop — no typos, and the text prints sharp.
- Check the pixel size
The downloaded image should be close to the value in the table. If smaller, enlarge it with an upscaling tool; for logos, converting to vector (SVG, PDF) is best.
- Final check and upload
Go through the checklist, save as PDF and drop it into “Upload your print file” on the product page. Our designer checks bleed, pixels and colour free of charge before printing and contacts you if needed.
Product-specific prompt archive
Pick your product and fill in a few fields; a prompt matching the size and print rules is ready. You can share the link with your customer or team.
Basic rules for every product
| Size | The size you chose on the product page + bleed on every side |
|---|---|
| Bleed | Usually 3 mm on each side (2 mm on standard business cards) |
| Safe area | Text and logos at least 3–5 mm inside the trim line |
| Resolution | 300 DPI for small items; 100–150 DPI is enough for posters, roll-ups and banners |
| Colour | CMYK; avoid neon and oversaturated tones |
| Border | No thin frame along the edge; tiny cutting shifts make it look uneven |
| Text size | At least 6 pt on business cards and labels |
| File | PDF recommended; AI, EPS, TIFF, PNG, JPG also accepted (up to 200 MB) |
How many pixels for which size?
Formula: pixels = (size cm + 2 × bleed) ÷ 2.54 × DPI. The table includes bleed.

Pre-print checklist
- Does the size match the product size, with bleed added?
- Is the pixel size in line with the table?
- Did the colours stay lively in CMYK; no neon left?
- Are name, title, phone, e-mail, website and Turkish characters all correct?
- Is the text readable and far enough inside the trim line?
- Is there no border along the edge?
- For custom cutting, is the cut line marked as a separate contour?
- Are there no other brands’ logos, characters or copyrighted images?
If your file is not ready
- Choose “AI-assisted design” on the product page and leave the design to us: 3 options, 3 revisions.
- Have an image but struggling with the text? Upload it with a note; our designer prepares it for print.
- Questions? Send your image on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether it is print-ready.
Frequently asked questions
Is my AI-made design suitable for print?
Yes, if it follows the size, pixel, CMYK-friendly colour and bleed rules. When you upload it, our designer checks it free of charge before printing.
Can I use the text the AI wrote?
We do not recommend it. It often gets Turkish characters and numbers wrong. Generate the image without text and add the text in a design program.
Can I upload PNG or JPG?
Yes, as long as size and pixels are sufficient. PDF is the safest format for print.
Which AI tool should I use?
ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, Ideogram, Canva — all work. Our builder produces a plain instruction that works everywhere; English prompts give better results in some image tools.
Is white printed on clear labels?
On clear material, white areas in the design stay transparent; if you want white, it must be prepared as a separate white layer. Dark, vivid colours look better on clear stock.
