A local producer’s product is often chosen by its label, on the shelf, at the market or online. The label tells both the quality and the story: who made it, where and how. A good label makes the same product look more valuable; the wrong material falls apart within days in the fridge, under an oil drop or in a damp store room.

On this page you will find label material choices for food, size tips for jars and bottles, ready-made kits for markets and fairs, and common questions. Sheet label prices appear on the page at once.

Does this sound familiar?

Labels suffer from oil and humidity

Coated labels are paper; for olive oil, sauces and refrigerated products choose the opaque (waterproof) material of sheet labels.

Labels wrinkle on jars

On curved surfaces, choose a label height that fits the straight part of the jar; rounded corners sit better on curves.

The product gets lost on the shelf

Make the product name and type (wildflower honey, early harvest…) the largest text; the region and producer story build trust.

Small label runs are hard to get

Sheet labels start at 10 sheets; you can put a separately designed label for each variety on the same sheet.

Design and print tips

  1. Choose material by environment

Dry shelf: coated sheet labels. Oil, humidity and fridge: opaque (waterproof) sheet labels. Details: choosing label material.

  2. Mandatory information is your responsibility

What a food label must show (name, ingredients, net quantity, best-before date, producer details etc.) is set by food labelling rules. We check the file for print; content and legal compliance are the producer’s responsibility.

  3. Leave space for date and batch

If you write the best-before date and batch number by hand or stamp, leave a blank area and choose an unlaminated material; pens and stamps do not hold on laminated surfaces.

  4. Size for curved surfaces

On jars and bottles, keep the label within the straight area; use front and back labels instead of wrapping all the way round.

  5. A design per variety

Keep one template and change only the product name and colour to tell varieties apart; they look like a series on the shelf.

  6. A natural look

Kraft cards and hang tags suit natural products; a dark logo reads better on kraft.

Frequently asked questions

Which label for olive-oil bottles?

Oil drops stain paper labels; choose opaque (waterproof) sheet labels.

What is the minimum for honey-jar labels?

Sheet labels start at 10 sheets, and many labels fit on a 33 × 48 cm sheet depending on size.

Do you make clear labels?

Yes. Sheet labels come in clear (CMYK) and clear with white + colour; they show the product through glass.

Can you print round lid labels?

Yes. Choose custom cut on sheet labels and place round labels sized to the lid diameter on the sheet in your file.

Will labels survive the fridge?

Opaque material is waterproof and lasts far longer than paper labels in humid conditions; coated labels are paper.

Do you check the mandatory label information?

We check the file for print (size, resolution, bleed). The accuracy of mandatory information and compliance with food rules are the producer’s responsibility.

Can you print barcodes?

Yes, if the barcode is part of your design. You provide the barcode number; it should be large and dark enough to scan.

Can a cooperative order in bulk?

Yes. Labels for several producers can be separate items in one order; you can also send a list on WhatsApp for a quote.
