What is the difference?
Flyer
A single, unfolded sheet carrying one short message: a campaign, an opening or an announcement. Read at a glance; good for door drops, counters and inserts.
Brochure
Usually folded, with several panels. Made for content people hold and read: product lists, service descriptions, menus or maps.
Most customers use the two words interchangeably, so we keep both on one product page. On the flyer and brochure page, the size, paper, sides and optional folding you choose turn your order into a flyer or a brochure. For sizes, see our flyer sizes guide.
Paper: 90 gsm uncoated or 150 gsm coated?
We offer two papers for flyers and brochures:
- 90 gsm uncoated: thin with a matte surface. You can write on it with a ballpoint pen, which helps for coupons, forms or note areas. The economical choice for large runs.
- 150 gsm coated: thicker with a smoother surface. Photos look more vivid and it folds more neatly. Preferred for menus and promotional brochures.
90 gsm is enough for a short-lived campaign flyer. For a menu or product brochure you want people to keep, 150 gsm coated is the better fit.
Folding options
In express production, folding is available only on 21 × 29.7 cm and 29.7 × 42 cm:
- Half fold: folded in the middle into a 4-panel brochure.
- Z fold (accordion): folded in a zigzag into 6 panels; good for step-by-step content and maps.
- Gate/roll fold (G): two panels fold inwards and the content unfolds in order.
Standard production offers 1 fold and 2 folds. The folding fee does not depend on quantity: 500 TL per order (VAT incl.).
How to prepare a folded brochure file
- Work at the open size: the file is the flat sheet, not the folded result. If a 21 × 29.7 cm sheet is folded, the file is 21 × 29.7 cm (plus bleed).
- Make each side a separate page: outside on one page, inside on another. Fold a sheet of paper by hand to see which panel is the cover and which is the back.
- Mark the fold lines: on a separate layer or in the order note. Keep text and key images off the folds.
- Make the inner panel narrower: for a G fold, design the inward-folding panel a few millimetres narrower than the others, or it will jam and stick out.
For bleed, safe area, colour and resolution, see our print file guide.
When to choose a poster or a catalogue
If your message will be read from a distance on a wall, window or notice board, a poster works better than a flyer. If your content does not fit on brochure panels, for example a long list of products and prices, a saddle-stitched catalogue with more pages is easier to read.
Flyers and brochures start from TRY 300 (VAT incl.). No design yet? Choose the design service on the product page or use our flyer prompt.
Frequently asked questions
Are flyers and brochures separate products?
No. Both are ordered from /brosur. Without folding it is a flyer; add a fold and it becomes a folded brochure.
Can you write on a flyer with a pen?
Yes, 90 gsm uncoated paper takes a ballpoint pen. Choose it for flyers with coupons or form fields.
Does the folding fee increase with quantity?
No. Folding adds 500 TL per order (VAT incl.), regardless of quantity.
Can every size be folded?
In express production, half, Z and G folds are available only on 21 × 29.7 cm and 29.7 × 42 cm. Standard production offers 1 and 2 folds.
